This is an outdoor ghost investigation. We will be walking/hiking on the Garfield Recreation Trails to the Hippie Tree. The short 5 minute hike to the location is hilly, the path has loose gravel,  and the investigation location can be slippery when wet, has uneven terrain with roots and  large limbs of trees that one may need to duck under or crawl over.

Stop at a restroom before arriving! There are NO public restrooms nearby!

The ghost hunt is 90 minutes long and is approximately 1/2 mile walking distance. This tour will operate rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.  Hard soled or tennis shoes with traction are recommended.

If a tour must be cancelled due to extreme weather, cancellations of tour will be determined 60 minutes prior to tour start time. Guests will be notified via the email provided when tickets were purchased.

Locations and length of ghost hunt may change at the discretion of the tour guide. The tour has the tendancy to run over in time allotted.

We do not tour the Northern Michigan Asylum's (now known as the Grand Traverse Commons) grounds, buildings, or tunnels.

Your tour guide is a local resident of Traverse City and will meet you 10 minutes prior to the start of your tour.  You will know  your guide because the guide will be carrying a lantern and parked or standing at the Garfield Recreation Trailhead. Please be patient if you arrive before your tour guide, they will be coming from work or another tour!
